Google has today expanded its Street View coverage to include 30,000 kilometers of the Balkan nation Bosnia and Herzegovina. The search provider said that it covered major cities in the country such as Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Mostar, Tuzla, Zenica, Bijeljina, and Trebinje, as well as the connecting roads.
Some of the things to check out in the Southeastern European country’s capital Sarajevo include the Sarajevo City Hall (Vijećnica), Historic Baščaršija (old bazaar) and the Sebilj fountain, and the Latin Bridge. Aside from the Latin Bridge, there are also other iconic bridges in Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as UNESCO sites.
There’s the Stari Most bridge in Mostar which is a UNESCO World Heritage bridge that spans the Neretva river. Another is the Mehmed Paša Sokolović Bridge (Višegrad), a UNESCO-listed Ottoman-era bridge, there is the Arslanagića Bridge (Trebinje), and also Stećak Tombstones (near Stolac) which are medieval monuments recognized by UNESCO.
Other interesting sites include Kastel Fortress and the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Banja Luka and the Hercegovačka Gračanica monastery in Trebinje.

The country has a very rich history, over time it has been a part of the Roman Empire, the Byzantine Empire, the Ottoman Empire for more than 400 years, the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Yugoslavia, and most recently, as an independent nation.
Bosnia and Herzegovina is the latest country to be added to Google Maps after Nepal was added back in August. Neither of these countries are top tourist spots so there’s a decent chance you’ve never visited. With their addition to Google Maps, you can finally have a look around and maybe visit in real life.
